    At least here and MAL are thriving. I actually came here after feeling unwelcome on Discord, Twitter, Tumblr, and Reddit xD. They all seem to have their own subcultures & dialects that I have trouble adapting to. Hell I didn't even try Youtube, I'm too insecure of my face and voice for that.

    I think if more forums upped their web design/function quality to what it's like on this one, they'd get popular again. People like modern, sleek, and easy to use.

    @Wallop the only problem I have with the idea of forums becoming 'modernised' is that, far too often, 'modernised' means 'almost complete focus on the mobile experience to the detriment of desktop users'. luckily these boards have a modern design that works well on both my laptop and my phone, so this doesn't apply here, but yeah that's a far too common thing.

    i dont mind it too much myself but yea it still wouldnt hurt to have the option to change its language independently of the system language!
