Ok, so we all know Mario's Time Machine sucks as a whole, but as far as its characters in it go, I can't really tell who sucks more in that game:
-Bowser for stealing Abraham Lincoln's spectacles, preventing him from issuing his emancipation proclamation, OR
-Abe Lincoln himself who basically...
it's amazing how they could never figure out how to incorporate these guys in a mario platformer after smb2. i understand they can't become generic mooks like in yoshi games and captain toad treasure tracker because they can't just replace goombas, but they're a strong enough part of the mario...
>Hammer Suit mentioned
>Red Star mentioned
think thread's about done now. mayyyyybe put something like King Dragon Wario in a game? idk i can't think of any other fan-favorite old power-ups
if the thread isn't limited to just power-ups that haven't appeared in 15+ years, then i'd like to see...
It disappears when you touch it, like a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower, suggesting you "collect" it, which is what I believe leads people to consider it an item beyond the fact that it's a bizarro mushroom.
it's one thing to have an item whose explicit intended purpose is to power you down, like the poison mushroom. it's another to have a "power-up" that encumbers your general movement in favour of a minimal boost to a certain ability
(Spring Mushroom and Frog Suit)
i don't think all the brick blocks on mario's path are toads. when people in fairy tales are cursed to become frogs, they don't turn into *all* frogs that exist on earth. i imagine it's the same with toads and bricks.
whether the curse reverses in toads' case when breaking the bricks they were...
well, you see, everyone hates Camden, New Jersey. i do too and i had never heard of it until you mentioned it.
nothing against its people, they're probably cool folk.
Worst would be a majority of SNES tracks, with the Vanilla Lakes and Bowser Castles jostling on the throne. (Bowser Castle 3's MK8D rendition is an immense improvement though)
The most boring for me is Rosalina's Ice World. never cared about it and Piranha Plant Pipeline should have had its...
A DK game, either a new one or (more likely) a port. If there were ever any plans to tie the theme park to a game release, which isn't a super out-there scenario, I'd imagine that game would still release in the spring-summer window even with the delay of the park's opening. The necessary papers...
I didn't mind it. The boss design is head-scratchingly bad and there's a lot of tedious backtracking involved in 100% completion, but other than that, kinda fun, really. Had I paid for it full-price I probably would have felt like I wasted some money on it, because it's not *that* fun; luckily...
don't really know why it got locked. people, myself included, got off on the wrong foot, but it seemed to me like the thread was headed towards a resolution, even if that resolution was "agree to disagree". there have been worse threads that took longer to get locked.
game doesn't appeal to me personally, so option 6, although i appreciate how this game (along with some other media, like the Mario Movie) is pushing her characterization away from the boring McGuffin whose "favorite emotion is being a princess" she once was. she's still demure, which is fine...
hi guys my name is timothy mctimmy im 11 i like FNF, pizza tower and pomni, do u think we can turn mario wiki into sonic wiki for april fools it would of be funny i think xDDDDDD
this is, beyond any shadow of a doubt, one of the official mario renders of all time

i honestly have no idea why i even thought that, it just feels like it fits and it's funny. which would make it good i guess. perhaps it's your tendency to deviate from the norm in these discussions, where everyone, including myself, is "modern Mario RPG bad" whereas you show a more laid-back...
Please don't take this the wrong way, but whenever you enter an RPG-related discussion I can't help but picture an audience cheering and clapping like when Kramer barges onto the stage
1. Nintendo is more likely to seek that kind of data in social media or even their own venues, where the traffic is several magnitudes of magnitudes higher than some insular nerd site, even one as prominent and highly regarded as Mario Wiki.
2. McDonald's' Grimace had fallen out of collective...
I'd argue Paper Mario is the only corner of this franchise to have actually undergone these restrictions to the fullest. Even during the supposed "sterile" spell of Mario games from 2011 to ~2013 (which tbh is an appropriate qualifier in comparison to what you see today), NSMB2, NSMBU, and Mario...
I was the one who released Wario's spirit into the world. It was trapped in the bag of chips that Wario, being a glutton, stuck his huge head into. Poor idiot couldn't yank himself back out of it.
I was looking for past discussions about copyright and I'm pretty intrigued by this comment. We have all uploaded material that is technically copyrighted, such as artwork and promotional photos, and the thing is, any website that takes itself seriously has a bunch of Terms & Conditions that...
things i learned from reddit in the past week i was bored enough to go there
1. people who spell out dates as "[day] [month]" as opposed to "[month] [day]" engage in "cavemen speak". 'murica, yeeeaaa baby
2. "bootlicker" is a slur. people who invest undue feelings in uncaring authorities are...
I like their sandwiches. Afraid I ain't gonna eat at them anytime soon, though, since they're """neutral""" (absolutely supportive) towards the Israeli gov and they apparently still operate in Russia as of January 2024.
(For the record: I'm aware boycotting corporations that fund Israel is kind...
Since I replied to this topic earlier, I might as well answer the question:
I'm pretty happy with the roster in a general sense. Mario Tennis Aces, Golf Rush, and the Booster Course Pass have gone beyond the bare minimum, introducing interesting playable folk such as Ninji, Chargin' Chuck...
The 1% of the Mario fanbase that comprises hardcore lore enthusiasts, Marioverse-types, and those who spend their while talking about Mario on reddit, yes. Little Timmy who got Mario Kart last Christmas, no. I certainly didn't when I was first exposed to a Mario game.
We'll be talking about the BARREL IN THE DARKNESS.
We'll be talking about the PIRATE GOOMBA!
Yes, we're also gunna be talkin' about POO-POO HEAD JERK, YOSHI ON CRACK COCAINE, IN THE CLOUDS, THE 5TH SCARIEST THING IN A NINTENDO GAME...
and we'll agresivelly be spending a lot of time talkin'...
