It will be impossible because the contract had ended on 1996 between Nintendo and Square-enix (Squaresoft back then). Stupid Square-Enix doesn't even use Geno so why did they keep him?
Because there are many people out there who like Geno and would gladly buy the game when he's in it. Square Enix would be pretty dumb to hand such a trump card to a rivaling company. That's unfortunately how business works...
Yes that is true, but I'm saying that they never used him in I think a decade, so why the hell they kept him
I'm not really arguing or anything, but I just wanted to point out that he had a cameo in M&L:SS. That's pretty much the only use he's gotten since SMRPG.

Well I knew that, I meant like a role in a game not a cameo.

I'm pretty sure that even if Nintendo DID own the rights to Geno, they STILL wouldn't put him in another game, since for some reason, they never like to reuse RPG characters.

What are you talking about, they reuse a lot of RPG characters into new RPG and other video games

The never reused SMRPG characters. (with the exception of that one Geno cameo in Super Star Saga)

What are you talking about? Other than a few unmemorable characters (like Goomboss/Goomba King), what other characters have they reused? Please, DO fill me in on that one.

Fawful and the Koopatrols count, but not the others, because those were only minor cameo appearances. What I meant by "reusing" the RPG characters, is including them in another Mario game, where they still play a major role.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about them, but the rest of the Merlons, Merlees, and Merluvlees that were featured throughout the rest of the series were most likely different characters with the same names.

So we can sort of consider that appearence 50/50, even the SMW doesn't know if there the same character.

Originally, yes. It's still called SMRPG2 in Japan, if I'm not mistaken.

One word off from SMRPG. I can see how people might get mixed-up. Undecided
